Nevada Increasing Minimum Auto Liability Limits?
Today the Nevada Assembly introduced AB120. The proposed bill will increase the minimum auto liability limits from $15,000 per person, $30,000 per accident and $10,000 property damage per accident to $50,000 per person, $100,000 per accident and $25,000 property damage. The early opponents of this bill say it will effect the poor with increased insurance premiums and possibly lead to more uninsured motorists in Nevada. Proponents say the current limits were set in 1958 are are woefully inadequate due to the increase in medical costs and the fact that many cars on the road today cost more than $10,000 to replace.
